Welcome to our 1st grade webpage! Happy Spring to all.  The weather has been beautiful recently and that means playing more outside.  The month of April is fruit and vegetable month and we are studying how fruits and vegetables are grown.  We are also tasting different types of fruits and vegetables by having the students bring either a fruit or vegetable for snack.  This is a great way to have children try different types of fruits and vegetables that he/she may of not had before. 

The student’s fluency in reading is improving each week and we are so proud of the progress each is making.  Please encourage your child to read at home nightly aloud to you!   We truly feel that reading is the key to a great education! Remember to check your child’s folder daily for their homework sheet and to see how he/she is doing on their class work!
